Terms of use

These terms (version 2026-10-18) apply to everyone who uses SONGBIRD: shop owners, artists, staff and buyers. Please read them before you open a shop or claim an item.

Last updated 2026-10-18

1. Who we are and what SONGBIRD is

SONGBIRD is run by SONGBIRD//LABS ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@songbird.example. That address is also our point of contact for users, rights holders and authorities, in English.

SONGBIRD//MARKET lets independent shops sell digital items for Roblox dance communities through Discord. It checks that a buyer paid on Roblox, then delivers what the shop listed.

Shops and their artists are independent sellers. We host their listings and run the delivery, but we do not create, own, buy or sell the items, and we are not a party to the sale between a shop and its buyers.

SONGBIRD is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc. Whenever you use SONGBIRD you must also follow the Roblox Terms of Use and the Discord Terms of Service.

2. Agreeing to these terms

You accept these terms when you sign in, link a Roblox account, claim or buy an item, or join a shop. Shop owners accept them again when they create a shop, and we record which version they accepted.

If you don't agree, please don't use SONGBIRD. Our Privacy policy explains what data we use and why.

3. Who can use SONGBIRD

  • You must be at least 13, and old enough to use Discord and Roblox where you live.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must have read these terms and agreed to you using SONGBIRD.
  • To own a shop you must be at least 16. Between 16 and 18, a parent or guardian must accept these terms for you and is responsible for the shop with you.

Your account is yours alone. Keep your Discord and Roblox sign-ins safe: you are responsible for what is done with them. One Roblox account can be linked to only one Discord account at a time.

4. Price

SONGBIRD is free to use today. We plan to offer paid plans for shops later. They will come with their own price, renewal and cancellation terms, shown before you buy, and we will never charge you without your explicit agreement.

If we move a feature a shop already uses into a paid plan, we will tell its owner at least 30 days in advance.

5. Buying

You buy from the shop, not from us. Every payment happens on Roblox, in Robux, through a gamepass or developer product, and SONGBIRD never handles money. Refunds, price disputes and problems with an item are between you and the shop. Any rights you have under consumer law are rights against that shop.

  • Your Roblox inventory must be public when you claim or buy, so the purchase can be verified and leaked copies can be traced. You can make it private again afterwards. Shop team members are exempt for their own shop.
  • What you receive is for your own use. Unless the shop says otherwise in writing, you may not share, resell, re-upload or publish it.
  • Every delivery is recorded and may be fingerprinted, so a leak can be traced back to the purchase it came from. Some shops give each buyer their own copy of a face for the same reason.
  • A shop can revoke a purchase, for example after a refund, a chargeback or a takedown. A revoked item disappears from /purchases and cannot be claimed again, and your permission to use it ends.
  • If you lose a delivery, /purchases in the shop's server sends it again for as long as the purchase is valid and the shop is on SONGBIRD.

6. Running a shop or selling as an artist

Shops are responsible for everything they list, sell and deliver, and for their team. Owners answer for the artists, staff and admins they add.

  • Only list items you created or have the right to sell, including any music, lyrics, images, characters or trademarks they contain. You are responsible for any claim about your listings.
  • Describe items honestly, deliver what you advertise, and handle refunds and support with your buyers fairly. Make it clear to buyers which shop and which artist they are buying from.
  • Prices and payments are set on Roblox, under your own gamepasses and developer products, and are subject to Roblox fees and rules. You are responsible for any taxes on your sales and for the consumer law that applies to them.
  • Keep your Open Cloud keys and purchase-place keys secret. Purchases recorded with your keys count as your shop's, so revoke a key straight away if it leaks.
  • Features that upload to Roblox for you, such as unique decals, are subject to Roblox upload limits and moderation. Uploads happen under the Roblox account or group you choose, and you are responsible for that account.
  • Collaborators you credit on a listing can edit it and handle its orders. Agreements between collaborators, including how earnings are split, are between you.
  • Manual grants and revokes are for genuine reasons, such as giveaways, replacements, refunds and chargebacks. They are recorded with the name of the person who made them.

7. Things you must not do

  • Leak, resell or redistribute items you bought, or help others do so.
  • List stolen work, other people's items, or content that infringes someone's rights.
  • Scam buyers, fake purchases, or abuse refunds and chargebacks.
  • Harass or threaten anyone, or list anything illegal, sexual content involving minors, hateful content, or anything else against the Roblox or Discord rules.
  • Use someone else's account, or pretend to be another person, shop or artist.
  • Interfere with SONGBIRD: probing for vulnerabilities without permission, overloading it, scraping it, or getting around its limits and access controls.

8. Reporting a listing

Anyone can report a shop or listing that is illegal, infringes their rights or breaks these terms, using the report form at /report or by email. Your report should include:

  • which shop and item you mean (a link, or the shop handle and item name);
  • why it is illegal or infringing, with evidence such as a link to your original work;
  • your name or Discord account and an email address, so we can follow up;
  • for copyright and stolen-work reports, a statement that you believe in good faith that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

We confirm that we received your report, review it carefully and without undue delay, and tell you what we decided. The shop is never told who reported it. Knowingly false reports are themselves a breach of these terms.

9. How we moderate, and how to appeal

When something breaks these terms or the law, we may remove or hide a listing, withhold deliveries, revoke purchases of an item that was taken down, give a shop a strike, suspend a shop, or block an account across the whole SONGBIRD network. We pick the lightest step that fixes the problem.

Shops that repeatedly list infringing or illegal items, or keep breaking these terms, are warned and then suspended. We also suspend people who repeatedly send reports that are clearly unfounded.

When we act against a listing, shop or account, we tell the people affected what we did and why: which rule or law, the facts we relied on, whether a report triggered it, and how to appeal. The only exceptions are where the law forbids it, or for spam and fraud.

If you think a decision is wrong, write to hello@songbird.example within six months. Say which decision it was and why you disagree. A person, not an automated system, reviews every appeal, and we reverse decisions that turn out to be wrong. You can also go to the courts, or, in the EU, to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body.

10. Your content and ours

You keep the rights to what you upload. You let us store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run SONGBIRD: showing listings, delivering items to buyers, and making previews and fingerprints.

Showcase images are public. Delivered files are private, and are only sent to people who bought them and to the shop team.

When you delete a listing, this permission ends, except for copies already delivered to buyers, records we need to trace leaks or meet legal obligations, and backups, which expire on their normal schedule.

The SONGBIRD name, logos, design and software are ours. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Availability and changes

SONGBIRD is provided "as is". We work to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, or that Roblox and Discord will keep supporting what it relies on. We may change, pause or retire features.

We may update these terms. The version and date are shown on this page. For important changes we will tell shop owners at least 30 days in advance, in the dashboard or on Discord. If you keep using SONGBIRD after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't, you can stop at any time.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the items shops list, for disputes between buyers and shops, for anything Roblox or Discord do, or for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data.

Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of €100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

None of this limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any rights you have as a consumer that the law doesn't let us exclude.

13. Leaving SONGBIRD

You can stop using SONGBIRD at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy policy). Shop owners can archive their items and disconnect their servers from the dashboard.

We may end or suspend your access under "How we moderate" above, or with 30 days' notice if we close SONGBIRD. Sections that by their nature should last, such as liability, your content licence for items already delivered, and the law that applies, continue afterwards.

14. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of the country where we are established, as stated at the top of this page. If you are a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
